- Canon: Labyrinth - MOVIE - Entering Hotel California: Walking into the 'Escher' room of his castle to confront Sarah as she tries to rescue her baby brother. He walks through the door and ends up in the Lobby of Hotel California. - Description: 5'10" tall with spikey, long blond hair and two different coloured eyes. He has a very imperial manner and a cruel and dismissive disposition. His wardrobe tends to be flashy and outrageous. Before the hotel turns him human, he has magical powers that include using crystals to view events happening throughout his Labyrinth, turning crystals into other objects, manipulating time, traveling instantly between The Underground and our world (as well as anywhere in the Labyrinth) and turning himself into an owl. He also used his powers to create the Labyrinth and uses them to change and control it. - History: King of the Goblins (though not a goblin himself), he is a sorcerer who has ruled the mythical Underground kingdom for 1300 years. He lives in the castle beyond the goblin city, which he protects from invaders with a sophisticated, magical, ever-changing labyrinth of his own design, with the castle at its centre. It is a collection of traps, tricks and illusions that he manipulates at all times for his own amusement. In his recent history, shortly before being taken, a human girl named Sarah requested, using an ancient enchantment, for the Goblin King to take her baby half-brother, Toby, away. Jareth did and, having taken the child to his castle, would proceed to turn him into a goblin. Sarah regretted her rash deed almost immediately and requested that the Goblin King return Toby to her. Jareth gave her 13 hours to solve his Labyrinth and retrieve her brother, or lose him to the goblins forever. She made it as far as his castle. He was taken by the hotel on his way to confront her. - Inventory: Several sets of his clothing; a walking stick with a small crystal ball at the top; three crystal spheres; a clock showing 13, rather than 12, hours; his throne (in his room); mask from the masquerade ball - Disclaimer: Jareth does not belong to me, but rather to the Jim Henson Company and Lucasfilm Ltd.
